The experienced staff training team are accredited members of the BACP, and/or the UKCP and BPC.


Diploma Course Directors

Judith Dell MA psychoanalytic Psychotherapist (UKCP registered), is accredited as a Supervisor and Counsellor by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and is on the UK Register of Counsellors. She has an MA in Psychoanalytic studies and has trained in group analysis, family therapy and psychodrama. She works as a Consultant Supervisor to counselling agencies and maintains a private practice.

Tina Simmonds MA psychodynamic Psychotherapist (UKCP registered). She has a Diploma in Counselling and a MA in the Psychology of Therapy and Counselling. She is a Trainer and Supervisor working with individuals and groups, consults to counselling training programmes in the community and maintains a private practice.


Diploma Course Tutors

Ken Bledin PhD, group analyst (UKCP registered) and chartered clinical psychologist (HPC registered) provides consultancy, training, supervision and direct clinical work in the NHS and in the private and voluntary sectors.

 

Orpa Daniels psychoanalytic Psychotherapist (BPC Registered) working in private practice and in the National Health Service with couples and individuals. She also works as a supervisor and trainer with several counselling organisations.

Joan Fogel BA, PGCE, group-analytic Psychotherapist (UKCP, FPC), works in the National Health Service and the not for profit sector with groups and individuals. Her background is in education. She trains and advises in a variety of mental health settings.

 

Toby Ingham MA (supervisor and tutor) Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist (UKCP registered) and member of The Association of Independent Psychotherapists.

Bernard Shapley Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist (BPC Registered) works in education and private practice. He is also a Trainer and Supervisor.

 

Ju Tomas-Merrills MSc, psychoanalytic psychotherapist (BPC registered), works at the Anna Freud Centre as a parent-infant psychotherapist and runs a clinic for Portuguese speaking residents in Lambeth. She teaches and supervises in a variety of Mental Health settings, serves on training committees and maintains a private practice.

 

Anna Wiseman MA, a Psychotherapist (UKCP registered) and Counsellor (BACP and UKRC registered), who works psychodynamically. She has an MA in psychotherapy. She is a qualified teacher and is experienced in art and drama therapy. She maintains a private practice as well as being a Trainer and Supervisor.

 

Charlotte Wynn Parry, Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist (UKCP registered), works in private practice and supervises in voluntary sector and counselling organisations. She has an MA in Organisational Consultancy (Tavistock) and runs reflective practice groups for teams in voluntary sector organisations.

 


Certificate Course Tutor


Simone Gold MA, PGCE has trained as a Psychodynamic Counsellor and as a teacher, working as a college lecturer and a university student counsellor for several years. She maintains a private practice and teaches on a variety of courses in Counselling Skills.

External Moderator

Quentin Stimpson has worked as a psychotherapist in private practice (and various other settings) for the past 24 years. He is a Senior Lecturer in Counselling at the University of Greenwich on the BA and MSc counselling courses and is active as both a research supervisor and a researcher in the therapy arena. He edited a book for Routledge, “Clinical Counselling in Voluntary and Community Settings”, which was published in 2003.
