The MHCPC are able to offer quick access to time-limited or long-term, open-ended counselling.

An assessment is initially offered to assist in determining the type of support that would be most beneficial. The assessment lasts for 1.5 hours where a trained therapist will invite you to talk and ask you some questions to understand what is troubling you. This conversation will enable the therapist to consider with you the way your problems are affecting you and discuss ways forward. Each referral is then based on the specific needs of the individual.

MHCPC have an extensive network of counsellors that we work closely with. Referrals are made to MHCPC senior trainees, graduates, BACP, UKCP and BPC registered/accredited counsellors and psychotherapists.

The cost of the assessment is £5o.

A low cost rate of £20 is available for those who are unemployed or on benefits.
